Countryside Days – Schools only – bookable in advance only

Explore and discover food, farming and the countryside at this unique experience for Key Stage 2 children.

Run over two days, Countryside Days welcomes more than 6,000 children to the Great Yorkshire Showground for an action-packed programme of workshops, displays and interactive learning.

Each school group will receive their own bespoke timetable of six interactive sessions and free time to spend at the arenas and displays so you get the most out of your day.

Countryside Days are funded by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society as part of its charitable activities remit and are FREE for schools to attend.

Event dates – Tuesday 19 & Wednesday 20 May 2026

Opening times – 9.30am to 2.30pm each day

Admission free – For KS2 children only and must be booked in advance
